Responsible energy

Moving beyond the “all-generator” approach.

Electricity, an energy resource in the fight against global warming, is at the heart of what we do. At Dark Side Energy, the CSR drive has been under way for many years.

At your events

Our levers, from design to operation.

We have mastered alternative technologies and we promote them to all our clients, to speed up the transition to less energy-hungry solutions.

The grid first

We systematically assess whether a connection to the existing grid is feasible before turning to generators as the main source. When conditions allow, grid power takes priority.

Hybrid solutions

For sites where a grid connection is limited or costly: HVO or Stage V generators, battery packs, battery and generator hybrids, grid and generator combinations.

Right-sizing

Power assessments drawn up with realistic diversity factors, based on our operational experience. No systematic overcapacity: less oversized equipment, less excess cable, less needless consumption.

Optimised layouts

Sources positioned as close as possible to the load centres, and cable routes drawn to keep cable lengths down. Stable source areas, to limit the risk of fuel-related pollution.

In-house too

Everyday commitments.

  • Equipment that limits consumption, from the very start: TRIAC-dimmable LED floodlights, smart electrical units managing operating hours and power.
  • 70% of our employees have electric vehicles.
  • Less travel: studies carried out by video conference whenever possible, combined site visits.
  • Paperless: digital exchanges and deliverables on secure collaborative platforms.

The human side

A fair working environment.

  • Continuous training: electrical authorisations (French habilitations) kept up to date, CAD drawing, mentoring of junior staff.
  • Equality: a mixed-gender team, skills-based recruitment, a range of ages, equal pay.
  • Well-being: flexible organisation adapted to the demands of events, attention to working conditions on long projects.

Labels and certifications

Recognised skills, a structured approach.
