Personal data
Any information Dark Side Energy may collect comes from contact details voluntarily provided by the user in order to receive documentation or a quote, or to enquire about any matter. This information will never be passed on to third parties.
- Data controller: DARK SIDE ENERGY, 37 rue Thibaut, 62220 Carvin.
- Data collected by the contact form: name, company, email, telephone, subject, event dates and venue, message.
- Purposes: to respond to your request (quote, information, job application) and follow it up.
- Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
- Recipients: Dark Side Energy's teams only. Messages pass through the website host, Netlify, Inc., which acts as a processor and may process the data in the United States. This transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Netlify is certified and which the European Commission recognised in an adequacy decision of 10 July 2023.
- Retention period: 3 years from the last contact for commercial requests, 2 years for job applications.
Connection data: when you visit the website, the host processes technical data, including your IP address, needed for the security and proper operation of the website.
Power assessment client accounts: opened by invitation from Dark Side Energy. The client's email address and password (the password is never stored in plain text) are managed by the authentication service of the website host (Netlify Identity), which acts as a processor. Purpose: to give access to the full version of the tool. Retention: as long as the account is active; it is deleted on simple request.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability regarding your data, the right to withdraw your consent at any time and the right to set guidelines for what happens to your data after your death. Cookies and local storage
Audience measurement: with your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to measure its traffic (pages viewed, where visits come from, type of device) and improve its content. Measurement cookies are only set after you accept them in the banner and expire after 13 months. No advertising use: Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled. The data is kept for 14 months. Google may process it in the United States; this transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent.
Your choice is kept for 6 months. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; declining deletes the measurement cookies.
This website uses no advertising cookies. The fonts are hosted with the website: no data is sent to a third-party service to display them.
The Power assessment and Electrical calculator tools save your entries (and, for the calculator, the history of your calculations) in your browser's local storage so that you find them again on your next visit. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us, unless you choose to send us your assessment. You can delete it at any time with each tool's “Clear all” button or in your browser settings. If you are signed in to your client account, your session token is kept in the same way until you sign out.
